More importantly, however, this can significantly improve the item loot of blue, purple, and legendary Caches – all of which can potentially be found in all Mob Camps. This nontradable Fame scales with the lethality, tier, and rarity of the Mists you’re in, but it does not scale with the Cache’s rarity, to make sure this gives as much Fame as it can to the common Caches. The most common “Green” Caches contain nontradable Fame. As Mob Camps are completed relatively quickly, the loot is also distributed in a nontraditional fashion.Rarity is instanced as well, so one Cache may be rare for one character but legendary for another. In this way they are “instanced” treasure chests, with each character having their own rewards to draw from. After completing a Mob Camp a Cache will be unlocked that is only lootable by the character that unlocked it.To solve this, we’ve created Caches that can now be found in all Mob Camps: While some may prefer that outcome, we already have Treasure Chests for that and this gets away from what Mob Camps are supposed to be about - PvE objectives that can be completed at any time rather than an objective that demands instantaneous attention. If we add a chest late, we create a “King of the Hill” scenario until the chest is spawned. If a chest spawns early, then whoever gets there first wins. While we’ve wanted to add more itemized loot to Mob Camps, traditional methods of delivery don’t create the type of gameplay we’re looking for here. While these chests are worth less than Treasures that broadcast their location to the entire map, they will spawn much more frequently than the larger chests.Coffers are a new type of Open World Treasure that work exactly like other Open World Treasures, with one exception: they only make their location known to players nearby. However, they fail to bring smaller groups together, they don’t encourage newer players to compete, and they don’t offer conflict-averse players a chance to swipe the loot before others arrive.įor this reason, we’ve created Coffers that can be found throughout the Mists: Treasure Chests within the Mists are a great way to bring players together to fight for loot. This patch brings a number of new features to the Mists, increasing the gameplay opportunities available there. Me?!? I think removing GNOME would be a mistake, and in comparison to the size of the drive capacity it is taking up a very tiny amount of space.Knightfall Patch / Beyond the Veil Patch 8 - Ver. Even if you are a CLI junky it is still nice to know you have a GUI you can fall back upon. So GNOME takes up some space, so what?!? In many ways a well thought out GUI can be a life saver. Even IF you only plan to access the server every once in a while, having the GUI actually does not take up that much room on the drive - not in comparison to the old days, or even - God Protect me - Windows 10 today. If you have a server chances are good you have at least 16 GB of RAM. We live in an era where you can buy a 1TB (!) SSD for less that $100, and a 1TB (!) HDD for less than $60. It *almost* seems as though you are making a mountain out of a molehill. In the end 437 packages were listed as Erased in yum.log.įor future reference, and to maybe pick up any stray pieces I might have missed, is there an easier way to do this? There were 104 manually entered yum -y remove commands issued, some of these piped the result of "grep" and reformatted those on the fly to remove many packages (like for fonts). In the end I went through the whole alphabetically sorted list of RPMs, comparing those on the simpler system to the one with the GUI, and removing those which were clearly GUI related. It seemed like yum did not thinkg "GNOME Desktop" was installed. None of the things tried removed (any) of it though. So I tried to remove it and read about remove "GNOME Desktop" in many threads. However, "server with GUI" was a mistake - I wanted just a minimal GUI for occasional console use and what it installed was a huge chunk of Gnome (for all I know, all of "GNOME Desktop"). For the rest nothing was selected from the list where "server with GUI" is found and packages which were needed were installed later. For the first one, which is the main file server, selected "server with GUI", file & storage server, hardware monitoring, network file system client, and development tools. Recently installed Centos 7 on many machines.
